I showered and shaved like a good little boy this morning. Then I talked my head off with my father-in-law about baseball, grand youngins, and whatever else we could fuss about. It’s nice to have a dad-like figure to talk to, even though we been on a first name basis for 40 years. It’s mornings like this where you miss old family, you know those that passed so long ago. Yet the slightest memory pops them up back in your mind, like they ain’t gone nowhere. That’s how it is with me and a growing number of people I once knew. And I’m sure that at some point I’ll be joining that list myself. But I don’t worry about stuff like that like I used to anymore. For I’ve lived long enough that I’ve lost that sense of fear, of the unknown where you think things will fall apart without you. Now looking at my children, I know they are mature enough to take care of their own, and their mother and brother. Life you know, it’s all about the symmetry and balance of things. Within nature there are extremes, extremes in the temperature, in the weather patterns, even fires. But nature always seems to bounce back from those sorts of things. It may not look like it used too, but then again most things don’t look like they did 100 years ago. So look around outside, look at your own growing family and friends and think of how things have changed. For the better or for the worse, life moves on in a steady progression of time that you or I can never stop. #Nature #Time #Attitude #Acceptance #Zen
