After years of basically being under our feet. Including sleeping in our bed and their endless need for cuddles. They just up and decided to ignore us for about three weeks. At first it was kinda nice not having to look down all the time worrying about stepped on a sleeping animal. Or have someone begging loudly for head rubs while you’re trying to write. But after a week or so of that peace and quiet , we started to worry. But I mean they were outside within visual range, just not in their usual hangouts inside.
Then at the first of the week after the start up of our usual pattern of evening thunder storms, they just decided to move back in. So for the last number of days Boots has been in her spot either on my wife’s lap or the coffee table. And Buffy’s been up on the bed either meowing for head rubs and giving kisses. Or laying at my feet asleep with the fan blowing her fur. It’s funny how routines, even the most bothersome. Can be missed when given in love.
