With a runny nose and my right arm cramping, I start my day in the usual way…downing a truckload of pills. This morning it’s a little too cool to be opening the windows in my office. But I do have the curtains open to let in what little sunlight we’ll be getting today. My wife has her Michael Strahan blaring on the TV, while I keep the office as quiet as I can. Last night’s dreams were filled with me running for congress and taking care of a newborn. All thanks to a podcast I listened to and a video I watched on Tic Tok. Other than that, I got some images from a dear friend on Instagram I adopted years ago. Who now has a sweet little two-year-old of her own. I seem to have a knack for collecting additional family on the internet, but I suppose everyone needs a hobby. Our Christmas plans have been made by our daughters for the day after Christmas (I was sent the memo). So if all goes well, the rest of my month should be relatively boring. Grabbing myself another cup of decaf, I sit back down at my desk to finish typing out the gibberish no one really cares to read. But time and faith at some point will offer me that golden nugget of inspiration that will hopefully touch someone’s heart. Now I could live out my life in selfish occupation of my own pursuits. But instead I just rather waste my time jotting down these random thoughts just to see what sticks. It occupies my mind and consumes my energy, in a good way, just to be a decent human being. You see, a long time ago I felt that my life was called to service. So what better way to fulfil that call and satisfy my desire to write, than to freely give my well-worn wisdom, free of charge. So take what I saying, however you will. It’s just me speaking my truth with no demands other than to wish you a pleasant day. #gifts #inspiration #gratitude #purpose #selflessness
