United in Sickness

Well I got to eat lunch and finish up some post, then I made a candy run to the $1.25 Store. Then stopped to pick up a prescription for my wife. I figured the safest place for me to be right now would be my study. So here I sit staring out over an overcast sky waiting on the rain and cold temperatures. Till then the air is very still and the TV is playing at a reasonable volume. Now that my bride has me and our son coughing along with her, we can now be a house united in sickness.

I have the windows open hoping to bring in some fresh air, while I received an email from the power company lowering my monthly budget bill by $20. While our apartment management raised our monthly rent by $100 a month. The cost of not having a full time maintenance person or person to spray for bugs or even an onsite apartment manager is a bitch you know. All this while our COLA increase worked out to be around $40 a month. Us moochers are living high on the hog now, Boys!

But I digress, I know each of us has bills to pay. Just know that many of us on disability and/or retirement don’t have the luxury of getting a second job. Or the option of getting subsidies or even SNAP benefits for that matter. But you don’t worry, the retirement I’ve paid into since I was 16 is still nothing more than a giveaway according to your King. You keep complaining and fretting about your own little world as much as you want. While the rest of us with an ounce of God still left in us hear: “…Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40 KJV)
